Welcome to the Perkiomen Valley Region. The Perkiomen Valley is nestled amongst the boroughs of Collegeville, Trappe and Schwenksville and the townships of Perkiomen, Skippack, Upper Providence and Lower Frederick. Conveniently located 25 miles from Philadelphia, the area is rich in history, arts and leisure, farmland and business. We are beneficiary of many diverse businesses, one of the nation’s finest college art museums, non-profit organizations, excellent educational institutions, dedicated government officials and community-minded residents.
Yesterday & Today - Historical buildings dating back to the 1700’s have been preserved to help share the story of our early settlers in the Perkiomen Valley region. During the Revolutionary War, George Washington’s troops spent the winter at nearby Valley Forge and traveled through the valley to the local tavern. Once best-known for sprawling rich farmlands, the Valley has evolved to attract Fortune 500 businesses to the evolving landscape. Conveniently located along the highly traveled 422 corridor, our community is easily accessible from major airports and highways.
