Not So Silent Cinema and The UC String Ensemble present “Vampyr”
February 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeThe Ursinus String Ensemble will be joining the professional ensemble Not So Silent Cinema to present a live score to the 1932 silent film Vampyr in Bomberger Auditorium at 7pm, with a talk from Ursinus Film Studies Professor (and violinist) Dr Jennifer Fleeger at 6:30.
Not So Silent Cinema is the project of Philadelphia composer Brendan Cooney, and his scores are tightly composed, time-coded and thematic but also have plenty of room for improvisation and interaction between players.
Join us for a memorable evening of film and music, with support from the Arts and Lectures Fund, the Music Department, and Film Studies.
