HOMETOWN HUNT 2026

A Community Scavenger Hunt Across the Perkiomen Valley

Friday, March 27, 2026 • 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

The first annual Hometown Hunt, hosted by PV Next-Gen & the PV Chamber, is an interactive, high-energy scavenger hunt that sends teams across the Perkiomen Valley to solve clues, complete creative challenges, and uncover local businesses in a whole new way. This event is open to the public and designed for all ages and skill levels, whether you’re competitive, curious, or simply looking for a fun night out with friends and family.

Teams will travel in one car from stop to stop using wit, teamwork, and strategy to unravel each clue. Every stop showcases a Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce member business, giving participants a chance to explore the vibrant community that supports our local economy. There will be volunteers at each stop to help you along the way!

At the end, everyone will meet at The Flying Pig for a celebration, complete with prizes, raffles, and networking while enjoying a beverage or app if you so choose.

We will choose the 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners based on the time it took your team to complete the scavenger hunt. The app you will be using to participate in the hunt will track your progress as you go along!

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD EXPECT

Team Size
Teams should consist of 3–5 participants. This keeps each group manageable, collaborative, and fun while ensuring fairness during challenges and clue-solving.

Conduct Guidelines
To ensure a positive and community-friendly experience, we ask all teams to follow these rules throughout the event:

  • Be respectful to other participants.
  • No tampering with, removing, or sabotaging clues.
  • Treat all businesses and community locations with care.
  • No trespassing, entering restricted areas, or disrupting local spaces.
  • Follow the instructions of any PV Next-Gen volunteer or event host.

This event is built on community spirit, and we want everyone to enjoy it! 

Things to Know
All stops throughout the hunt will be Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce member businesses. Keep this in mind as you interpret your clues and navigate your route. Clues may be based on local history, business offerings, familiar landmarks, or creative wordplay.

Each registered team member will receive:

  • Drink ticket for the Happy Hour at The Flying Pig (alcoholic if 21+)
  • One Raffle Ticket (you may purchase more if you would like when you arrive at The Flying Pig)

After teams complete the hunt, everyone will gather at The Flying Pig for a fun, community-filled Happy Hour! Enjoy:

  • A free drink with your ticket (alcoholic if 21+)
  • Networking with other participants, business owners, and young professionals
  • Raffle baskets donated by local businesses
  • Awards ceremony honoring the top three teams
  • Additional food and drinks available for purchase

This finale is the heart of the event, bringing everyone together to celebrate teamwork, local businesses, and the spirit of the Perkiomen Valley.
